Celal Bayar University Journal of Science (CBUJOS) is an interdisciplinary journal covering scientific studies in the fields of Engineering and Science. Celal Bayar University Journal of Science evaluates the researchers' experimental and theoretical studies engaging to science and technology. Our journal has been published since 2005. The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September and December. CBU Journal of Science considers the original research articles written in English for the evaluation.

Celal Bayar University Journal of Science (CBUJOS) is a peer-reviewed open access Journal that is published four times annualy (end of March, June, September and December) by the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences for Fundamental and Engineering Sciences Manisa Celal Bayar University. CBUJOS provides a forum for research in Basic and Applied Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Statistics), Engineering Sciences (Mechanical, Civil, Food, Industrial, Electrical and Electronic etc.). It is designed for the community of internationally acclaimed scientists and researchers who study Basic and Engineering Sciences for academic, industrial, medical or environmental purposes.

Celal Bayar University Journal of Science (CBUJOS) welcomes authors from all over the world to share their innovative research and findings.
Abstract
In this section, a brief summary of the purpose, main findings, results and innovative aspects of the present study should be written. The abstract should be justified and written in Times New Roman font in 8 font size. The abstract should contain approximately 100-250 words and no abbreviations or excerpts should be used. The number of keywords should be between 3 and 7.

Introduction
In the introduction part; the aim of the study and related literature studies should be given comprehensively. Abbreviations should be defined in parentheses in full at their first occurrence in the text. Differences and / or similarities of the methods and results used in the present study with the methods and results of other studies should be emphasized.
The introduction part should be written in double column, using Times New Roman font and 10 font size. The introduction part should be written with single line spacing and each page page should be numbered. The italics can also be used for emphasis.


Page Format and Layout
Please submit your article prepared according to article template.
Only initial letters of the names and surnames of the authors should be capitalized in Times New Roman font and 10 font size. Affiliations of the authors must be given in order of appearance and each individual affiliation must be given in a separate row. Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author in a separate row. Provide the e-mail address of the corresponding author after the affiliations of authors. 8 pt space should be left between the e-mail address of the corresponding author and the line containing the article date information.

Titles
The main title of the article should be in bold Times New Roman font with size equal to 15pt. The initial letters of the article title should be capitalized. All titles should be written in Times New Roman font. The headings of the first level should be in bold type, justified to the left and 10 font size, and the initials of the subheadings in the title should be capitalized. The second, third and fourth level subheadings should be written in the same format.

Fonts
Main text should be written in Times New Roman font and 10 font size, justified. In special cases, bold characters should be used to make a stronger emphasis.

Equations
Equations can be given in separate lines and / or in text if necessary. All equations should be written in MS-Word® and the equations should be expressed in one line as much as possible. The numbers and their related units used in the text should be on the same line and a period should be used as a decimal point separator. If each of the equations is written on a separate line, each equation should be numbered in separate parentheses. Equations should be given in separate cells as indicated in the template; the equation in the first cell should be centered while the equation number in the second cell should be justified to the right. The left and right margins of the cells must be zero. Equations which do not fit in a single line can be expressed in two or more lines.

Figures
All figures (including graphics, photographs, etc.) should be placed on the right side of the manuscript and numbered consecutively according to their appearance in the text. Figures captions with the same numbered should be shown in lower case letters (a, b, c, etc.). If the figure presented is too large to fit in a single column, it can be given to cover two columns. However, the figure that covers the entire page width must be given at the beginning or end of the page. Each figure in the article should contain a “Figure Caption” ve and figure captions should be written under the each figure. Any references to previously published figures should be cited.

Tables
All tables should be added as Word file with the format specified in the template. Tables should be placed next to the relevant text in the manuscript. All tables should be numbered consecutively according to their appearance in the text. “Table Caption” should be placed above the related table. The asterisks given for footnotes, explanations of superscripts and other statistical data should be placed under the related table. If any previously published table is re-cited, the original source should be cited at the end of the Table caption.

Acknowledgment
Acknowledgments should be written in Times New Roman font and 10 font size.
Authors can state the technical assistance, the institutions and / or organizations providing financial support during the realization of the study and their thanks in this section. The names of the institutions and / or organizations providing financial support should be written in full. Since the evaluation of the articles is based on the Double Blind Review Process, the text of “Acknowledgments“ should be added after the acceptance of manuscript for the publication.

References
References should be written in Times New Roman font and 8 font size.
References should be written in Times New Roman font and 8 font size. The full names of the journals in italic should be written. Any citations of published or accepted works for publication should be indicated in square brackets. In references cited with the names of the authors; the number of the reference must also be given in square brackets. For example; Barnaby and Jones [8] obtained a different result. The term of "et.al." should only be used after two authors. ETHICAL PRINCIPLES and PUBLICATION POLICY

Celal Bayar University Journal of Science (CBUJOS) has adopted the principle of publishing qualified scientific studies in the fields of science and engineering. In this context, our journal publishes articles that comply with the principles and guidelines set out in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) website.
The authors of the article will be informed and their studies will be rejected, in the case of determining the situations such as misquotation, incorrect transferring and distortion of the data created in the articles by the authors, transferring of the study without including scientific data, and submission of the translation of the published paper in Turkish full text to our journal. All stakeholders (Editor, Author, Reviewer, Publisher, and Reader) who contribute to the publication of scientific work are expected to comply with the Publication Ethics and Journal Policy. In line with these expectations, the duties and responsibilities of the stakeholders are listed below:

Editorial Board Member’s Responsibilities

The Editorial Board members are responsible for increasing the scientific quality of Celal Bayar University Journal of Science and making an effort to be indexed in various scientific platforms.
The Editorial Board members attach importance to the confidentiality of the articles submitted to the journal, does not share any information about these articles with third parties, does not provide information about the authors mentioned in the articles, and does not share any information about the authors and the referees.
The selection of the referees in a transparent manner considering the working topics and sending these articles to the referees will be carried out by the Editorial Board members. It is decided by the Editorial Board members to determine acceptance / rejection status of articles after reviewed referees’ reports and answers of Authors’ to them.
In the decision-making phase, the Editorial Board members pay attention to the contribution of the article to the field, to be distinguished from other studies related to the relevant field, to the validity of the research methods, to the clarity of the narration and to a sufficient number of references.
Editorial Board members take the manuscripts prepared in accordance with the template of CBUJOS in the precursory check stage in terms of the plagiarism and originality and if deemed appropriate, the articles are sent to the referees for evaluation. The articles without an author's name are sent to the referees to be evaluated in accordance with the blind review process. The evaluations and suggestions from the referees are sent to the authors without sharing the referee information. After the necessary corrections, the final decision regarding the publication of the article in the journal is made by the Editorial Board members.

Referee’s Responsibilities

The referees declare that these articles are for their specialty while they agree to evaluate the articles sent to them.
Referees are required to respond positively / negatively to the proposals for evaluating the articles within the prescribed time.
The referee (s) who agreed to evaluate the article is responsible for evaluating the article within the time period given to them.
Within the framework of the Code of Ethics, referees should stay away from conflicts of interest, and if they recognize that any work is based on a conflict of interest, they should inform the Editorial Board members and refuse to evaluate the work.
Referees should act in accordance with the principles of confidentiality and impartiality during and after the evaluation process. Besides, they need to fill out the Publication Evaluation Form, and make positive / negative comments regarding the article with integrity.

Author’s Responsibilities

The authors should not submit their manuscripts to our journal if it is under evaluation in another journal.
Authors should submit their manuscripts to our Journal, obeying the Ethical Principles and Rules. In this context, if necessary, the Ethical Committee Approval Letter should be sent to our Journal at the time of application.
All the situations in which the Ethics Committee Decision is required / not required should be explained with a paragraph above the “References” subtitle in the article.
The authors are responsible for the content, narration, language and originality of the manuscripts which they submit. In terms of the plagiarism control using program named iThenticate, the manuscript will be rejected in the case of determining of its similarity more than 27%.
If the data used by the authors in their manuscripts are taken from the institutions / organizations, they should also need to submit a document showing the approval of the relevant institutions / organizations to our Journal.
Accepted manuscripts should be reviewed by the authors for proofreading (pre-approval) before they are proceeded to publish in our journal, and the necessary approvals should be made within the specified period and should be allowed to publish. Authors who request any changes after the article is published should contact the Editorial Board members within the first 3 days after publication.
Authors should use the contact button which is placed on the Dergipark Web Page in all kinds of correspondence about the article. Correspondence sent to the editors' personal e-mail addresses will not be taken into account within the framework of the Code of Ethics.

Journal Policy

CBUJOS is an open access journal and no fee is requested from the authors to be evaluated and published by our journal. The evaluation process of our journal is given below:
Additional time for all cases where the processing period is over: 10 days
Maximum time required for new article processing: 10 days
Maximum time given to the secretary while on the secretary step: 10 days
Maximum time required for editor to take over the article (Check Completed Step): 10 days
Maximum time required for editor to continue processing after taking on it (Step in Editor): 10 days
Maximum time to continue processing after the article is ready for decision: 15 days
Maximum period for the editor to make a decision (Awaiting Decision Step): 20 days
Maximum time given to the editor for the publication process after the manuscript accepted (Publication Process Step): 20 days
Maximum processing time for Spelling-Language, Statistics, Layout Editor, and Proofreader: 10 days
Response time to the invitation sent to the author to take action: 10 days
Time given to author to process: 7 days
Response time to the invitation sent to the referee to evaluate: 7 days
Evaluation period given to referee: 20 days
